Conversation in the teachers’ room yesterday:
J: ‘You know that tomorrow’s Weiberfastnacht, don’t you?’
Vince: ‘Oh no, not that again.’
J: ‘It sure is. You remember last year, don’t you?’
V: ‘Yes. You people were dancing around the office and singing Carnival songs while I was trying to do a translation.’
J: ‘That’s right. Lots of fun.’
V: ‘I’m going home and am locking myself in my flat til Friday after my morning classes end.’
I suspect that a lot of volleyball will be played today in addition to the singing and dancing.
