Germany Doesn't Suck

Over at Toytown they say the cheddar is excellent.

That’s kind of funny, seeing how both the Brits and Lidl seem to have a lot of surveillance cameras.

The cheese is great – we bought two packages yesterday along with some steak pie, apple pie and salt and vinegar sticks. I’m a British subject, after all.

In London we went to a supermarket and all they had for cheese was cheddar. About 50 varieties, but still all cheddar.

Iggy, good to have you back on board. Actually, what Lidl has is pretty good. I don’t know if it’s authentically British or not, but I like it.

Christina, I agree on the cheese. As with you, I’ve also bought a steak pie (and it was great) and apple pie (haven’t had a chance to try one yet). I might go back for more tomorrow.

Ian, I wish good cheddar was easy to find here.

We had the steak pie tonight and everyone liked it just fine although Mr. M thought I could do a better job. Apple pie is next.
