Travel Tuesday – Taco Bell

One of the things I enjoy about going back to the USA is being able to eat in establishments that are unavailable to me in other countries, and one of them is Taco Bell.

Conversation when I was in Miami in 2004 and went to Taco Bell:
J (before looking at the menu): ‘I’d like a chili cheese burrito, please.’
ConfusedTacoBeller: ‘A what?’
J: ‘A chili cheese burrito.’
CTB: ‘We haven’t had those for two years.’
J: ‘Oops, sorry, I haven’t been to the US for three years.’

Out of curiosity while thinking about my USA trip next year, I looked at the Taco Bell website and was delighted to learn that at some point in time since my last visit, the chili cheese burrito has been reintroduced.

Yum!

I would have loved to see Tacobeller’s face when you tried to order that!

I miss restaurants from the US but not Taco Bell. The Scientist, however, was thrilled when I told him this.

I LOVE taco bell. Max probably has a burrito birthmark somewhere because of all the bean burritos I ate while home last year.
