Thanks to Adam, I learned that Deutsche Bahn was having a €20 special from 18:57 – 03:00 starting on 9 November.
After several unsuccessful attempts to access their website due to the fact that it was overloaded because, not unsurprisingly, they were unprepared for the volume of traffic it would generate, I finally was able to get on their website and look for the fare:
And found it to everywhere!

All I knew was that I wanted to take advantage of the situation as fully0 as possible.
Berlin? Been there this year.
Munich: Been there this year.
Bamberg: Impossible to get back from easily (according to the website).
Where else?
Then I realized where I wanted to go. Someplace that I had briefly visited before, but wanted to return to because of all it offered.
Then it was a question of when. The travel date ends on 1 December 2009, and I have to work 21 & 28 November (exam season) so the upcoming weekend is the weekend I have to travel.
I plugged in the location and dates and Voila! €40 return to the place I want to visit on the dates I want to visit.
Needless to say, I booked it immediately.
