I had a great time in Chicago. Many people told
me that I am crazy for going there in the winter, but
I got a very good airfare. I LOVE Chicago. The
weather was cloudy and cold (mid 30's F all week) and
there was snow on the ground, but it could have been
much worse.
I think that the best thing I did there was see
Les Miserables. I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to
see it. It is a great musical. The only downside of
it is that you do need to read the program to see
what is going on, as the plot gets complicated. Other
than that, it is wonderful.
I also went to the Aquaruim and the Museum of
Science and Industry (both are free of charge on
Thursdays). The Aquarium has lot of fish (as
expected), some very playful otters, a dolphin/shark
exibit, and a lot of really cute penguins. The Museum
of Science and Industry has a lot, including a German
Submarine that you can tour. It is a technology
museum also, and if I was to describe it more, this
would be a very long paragraph.
I sampled many of the excellent restaurants, saw some
comedy shows, listened to some jazz, and hung out. It
was a great trip.
