May, 1998 - Washington DC
Updated as of May 5, 1998
Right now I am in Washington DC, my nation's Capital.....I did the usual (had
lunch with Bill, played with Socks, and tried to help Hilary with the National
Health Plan).
This is a great place....there are a lot of things to take tours of (Museums,
White House, Capital, etc) and things to do. The thing that I like about it the
best is that most of these things are FREE!!!!!!!!!! So far, we have gone to
the National Museum of Natural History, Arlington Cemetary (to see the grave
sites of John F Kennedy and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier), Ford Theater, the
house that Lincoln died in, and the National Museum of American History. We
tried to get into the FBI tour, but they already had enough people for the
tours for the rest of the day.
DC has a wonderful, quick moving, computer system with internet access in the
Martin Luther King JR
Library (downtown). You
can even call ahead for a next day appointment so you don't
have to wait!!!!!!
I am still travelling with Darren, but tommorrow he leaves for New York to
catch a flight to London. I am not sure where I will go yet.
