Miami Beach
11TH STREET DINER - 11th and Washington - good food and
the building is a dining car of a train, a bit price, but well worth
it.
FLAMINGO CAFE - 15th and Washington - you can get an excellent breakfast
for $3 here.
MOONLITE CAFFE - 15th and Washington - nice diner set in a great
location for people watching. Prices are good, food is excellent, especially the
Spaghetti Bolongese ($6).
New Orleans
CLOVER GRILL - 900 Bourbon St (French
Quarter) The best burgers in town.
SAMMY'S RESTAURANT - approx the 600
block of Bourbon Street (French Quarter) - try the blackened chicken with red
beans and rice
BETSY'S PANCAKE HOUSE - 2542 Canal (Midtown) - nice little
diner (reminds me of Mel's Diner) with great (and inexpensive) food. They have
breakfast and lunch specials.
ROYAL CAFE - Royal and St. Peters (French
Quarter) - elegant place (but not too expensive) with balcony dining.
ST
CHARLES PUB - another great little diner with inexpensive, but excellent food.
Open 24 hours.
New York City
ELITE CAFE - 68th and Columbus - great place for a good
breakfast
MORNING STAR DINER - 9th ave and 57th st - wonderful 24 hour diner
with excellent food and great prices
NATURALLY TASTY - 5th ave and 27th st -
excellent food, including healthy food and pasta for a reasonable price. Try the
meatloaf or chicken salad
Washington D.C.
MARK'S KITCHEN - 7006
Carroll Ave, Takoma Park, MD. Great place in the suburbs of dc (about 1 block
into the Maryland side) that has great breakfasts for about $5
TRIO
RESTAURANT - 1537 17TH ST NE (17th and Q St) - 2 blocks from the Dupont Circle
Metro station - nice diner with good prices and excellent food. You can even eat
al fresco in the rain, as they have an awning over the outdoor dining. GUAPO'S
RESTAURANT - 4515 Wisconsin NW - right near the Tenley Town Metro stop. Decent
mexican food for about $9/plate
