Coins

On 12 February, 2000, I cleaned out my daypack (it zippers onto the back of my backpack). I've used it almost every day for the last two years, including when I traveled Europe in 1998 . Coins are not exchangable, so mine ended up in the bottom of the daypack. I had cleaned it out before, however, left the coins until I had time to sort them out. Here are the coins that I found:

Belgian Francs: one 20f; three 5f; one 1f

British Sterling: one 1 pound; one 20 pence; one 2 pence

Czech Koruna: one 50 kc; four 20 kc; one 10 kc; one 5 kc; seven 2 kc; four 1 kc; two .20 kc

Deutsche Penning: four 10 penning

French Francs: one 2fr; two 1fr; one ½ fr

Hungarian Forints: one 50fts; one 5fts; two 2fts; two 1 fts

Italian Lira: one 100 Lire

Netherlands Guilders: two 1g; six 25ct; two 5ct

Norwegian Kronors: one 10kr

Polish Zloty: one 2 zl; four 50gr; three 5gr; three 1gr

Portuguese Escudos: one 200 esucdos; two 100 esucdos; one 20 esucdos; two 10 esucdos; one 5 esucdos; one 2.5 esucdos

Spanish Pesetas: three 10pts; nine 5pts; one 1pt

Swedish Kronors: one 10kr; one 5kr; one 1kr; two 50ore

USD: two 25 cent; five 10 cent; eight 1 cent

Yugoslav Dinars: five 1 dn coins (3 of one style, 2 of the other); one 50 para coin (100 para = 1 dinar)

Am I rich? Not yet. Those coins total approximately $23.61 US.
